PARENT INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

PTA

PTA provides fun activities and events for all students. They organize our picture days, Red Ribbon Week, HOWLer Store, movie days, fundraisers, and Mini-Festival.  PTA is always seeking out new members that are interested in participating in various school activities and events.  We hold PTA Executive Board Meetings once per month, generally on Wednesday mornings in room 9 (At this time meetings will be held online).  If you would like to volunteer your time to our students, please join a monthly meeting.  Specific meeting dates and times can be located on the calendar.

School Site Council       

SSC is a governing body of parents, certificated teachers, and classified staff members.  We meet approximately once per month to discuss school governance issues.  SSC is responsible for providing input on both the safety and school plans.  They also approve categorical funding and review our Intervention Program.  Parents are voted onto SSC during Back to School Night.  Please contact the school office if you are interested in participating in the SSC.

English Learner Advisory Committee  

ELAC is designed for parents of English language learners.  ELAC meets once per month to review components of the school plan and learn how the plan supports English learners.  Specific instructional programs and practices in relation to English learners are also discussed in detail, such as ELD and iLit.  Tips for working with English learner students at home are also provided.  If you are the parent of an English learner and would like to attend ELAC, please check the calendar for specific dates and times.
